The things people ask us most before booking a job - service area, minimum job size, quotes, timing and site access. If yours isn't here, just give Dylan a call.

Frequently asked
What areas does Charm Excavation cover?

We're based in Keysborough and work right across Melbourne's South East - Dandenong, Cranbourne, Berwick, Frankston, Pakenham and out toward the Mornington Peninsula. If you're nearby and not sure whether you're in range, give Dylan a call and we'll let you know straight up.

Is there a minimum job size?

No job is too small. We take on everything from a single backyard dig or a short retaining wall through to bulk earthmoving and civil works. If it's a smaller one-off, just tell us what you need moved or cut and we'll quote it the same way we quote the big jobs.

How do I get a quote?

Easiest way is to call or text Dylan on 0431 529 254, or send your details through the contact page. Photos of the site and a rough idea of the scope let us give you an accurate number fast, and for bigger jobs we'll come out and look at access and ground conditions first. Quotes are free.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the size of the job and how the calendar is sitting - earthworks lead times move around with weather and what's already booked. The best thing to do is get in touch early so we can pencil you in. Smaller jobs can usually be slotted in sooner than full site works.

Can you get into tight or limited-access sites?

Yes. A lot of our work is residential where access is through the side of a house or down a narrow drive. We run compact machines that fit through tight gaps, so we can reach backyards and confined sites that larger gear can't.

Are you insured?

Yes, Charm Excavation is fully insured. Dylan has ten years in the industry, three of those running Charm Excavation as an owner-operator, so the person quoting your job is the same person on the machine doing it.

Do you remove the dirt and leave the site clean?

Yes. Spoil and excess material can be carted off as part of the job, and we sweep the site down before we leave. A tidy finish is part of the work, not an extra.

What kind of work do you take on?

Site preparation and demolition, bulk excavation and earthmoving, civil and drainage works, retaining walls, and landscaping and rural earthworks including tank pads and access tracks. Not sure which category your job falls under? Just describe it on the services page enquiry or over the phone and we'll sort it out.

Who will I be dealing with?

Dylan, every time. Charm Excavation is owner-operated, so you speak to the bloke doing the work - not a site manager passing it down a line. The quote matches the scope and the scope matches what gets done.
