Clyde has gone from farmland to new estates in a few short years, and the drainage work has followed: stormwater pit and pipe, agi lines, service trenching and detention or rainwater tank excavation on new-build blocks.
We set out to the plan, hold the fall over the length of the run, and backfill and compact so nothing settles under the driveway or the slab.
Flat former-farmland blocks like Clyde's have very little natural fall, so every bit of grade in the pipe counts. Get it right and the yard drains on its own; get it lazy and the water just sits.
