Site Preparation & Cuts
Strip, cut and level the pad. Residential blocks, multi-unit sites, commercial pads. Machines sized to the access.

Hampton Park blocks are standard family lots, so the site prep is nearly always behind the house and nearly always through a side gate.
Hampton Park work is extensions, granny flats, sheds and pools on established blocks. Clearing the back yard, taking out old concrete and stumps, and cutting a level pad in a confined space is the shape of most jobs.
Compact machines get down the side, we protect what stays, and the broken concrete and green waste leave with us rather than sitting on the nature strip waiting for a skip.
Hampton Park sits on the same reactive clay as most of the corridor, so a pad that has not been cut deep enough or compacted properly will move once the seasons turn. It is worth getting right before something gets built on it.

Strip, cut and level the pad. Residential blocks, multi-unit sites, commercial pads. Machines sized to the access.

Final trim to spec. Concrete pads, footings, driveways, paving. Tight tolerances so the slab pour lands where it should.

Clear structures, old slabs, vegetation and rubbish. Sort what can be recovered, cart away what can't. Site tidy when we leave.

Hampton Park was built out through the eighties and nineties, so almost every block already has a house on it, a fence on either side and something at the back that has to go. The site prep here is the confined kind: a compact machine through the side gate, a pad cut in a yard with a neighbour on each boundary, and the material carried out the same way it came in.
These are family-sized lots, typically six or seven hundred square metres, with a brick veneer home from the original estate build, a concrete driveway, and a shed or a carport on a slab at the rear. The work is extensions, second dwellings and granny flats, sheds, pools, and a growing number of knock-down rebuilds and dual occupancies as the original houses reach forty years old.
A house comes down under a demolition permit with a registered demolisher. We clear, break out and cut once it is down, or come straight to the back yard when the house is staying put.
A forty-year-old block has history in it. Old footings and slab edges from a shed that was replaced once already, a buried path, the original stormwater run to the street, and sewer and drainage lines laid long before anyone thought about a granny flat over the top of them. We locate services through Before You Dig Australia before we start and work carefully around anything the plans do not show.
The ground itself is the corridor's reactive clay, so a pad for an extension or a granny flat is cut to the engineer's depth and compacted, because a pad that moves under a small building is just as expensive as one under a big one.
Access decides the job in Hampton Park. A standard side gate is around a metre wide, which our compact excavator is sized for, and the overhead service line to the house is the thing to look up for before the boom goes past it. Spoil and broken concrete go out through the same gap and straight onto the truck, so nothing sits on the nature strip.
Where a truck has to cross the footpath or the kerb, the City of Casey asks for an asset protection permit first, and a neighbour's fence is only ever touched with the neighbour knowing.
Also in Hampton Park: excavation and earthmoving and civil and drainage.
Usually yes. Our compact excavator is sized for standard side-gate access, which covers most backyard site prep around here.
Yes. Stumps, slabs, paths and driveways all come out, and the material is loaded and carted rather than left on site.
That is a common job for us. We cut and trim the pad to the levels your plan calls for, ready for the slab or the shed to go straight on.
Yes, once the house is down. Breaking out the old slab, footings and driveway, removing sheds and stumps, stripping the block and cutting the new pad to the plan levels is the same job we do behind the house, just with more room to do it.
